Emeritus Professor of Medicine (and Geriatrics) at the Hebrew University-Hadassah Medical School, Jerusalem, former head of geriatric department of Shaare Zedek Medical Center, Jerusalem. He established Day Centers (called Melabev) with planned therapeutic programs for old people in the community who suffer from dementia. He also founded a geriatric Teaching Institute on aspects of aging for professionals and semi-professional workers with the elderly. Since retiring from the ward he heads the hospital memory clinic. In 2010 he was honoured with the title of Distinguished Citizen of Jerusalem for his work with elderly infirm.

Ha creato dei centri di accoglienza (chiamati Melabev) con programmi terapeutici per anziani che soffrono di demenza.
