Using a combination of molecular, cellular and biochemical techniques as well as in vivo viral mediated gene transfer and electrophysiology, her research unit investigates the role of the CREB transcription pathway and related signaling molecules in the formation of synaptic plasticity and memory in health and disease. That these studies will further the understanding of the molecular mechanisms regulating memory formation and shed light on the molecular defects that are responsible for the related pathologies.- — -

Utilizzando una varietà di tecniche, che comprendono biologia molecolare e cellulare, iniezione di geni in vivo mediante virus, ed elettrofisiologia, il suo gruppo di ricerca studia il ruolo della trascrizione mediata dal CREB, così come la funzione di altre proteine coinvolte nel processo della plasticità sinaptica e nella memoria, sia in condizioni normali che patologiche.
